Hunter Bland is a National Boating Safety Ambassador and a Bassmaster Opens Pro. He was the driver in the University of Florida Bass Team boating accident that took place on January 14th, 2017. This accident sparked his passion for safer boating and ultimately changed his life. After graduating from
the University of Florida in 2017 with a B.S. in Forest Resources and Conservation, he immediately pursued boating safety full-time.

Back Story
I grew up in a small rural town in IL that fueled my passion for the outdoors hunting and fishing. Shortly after high school I started my military career after the events of 9/11 as an active duty Military Police Officer (31B). Every duty station that I was assigned I always made time to find the nearest fishing hole and fish as much as possible. My military career has taken me all over the globe and I worked hard to try to make my passion for the outdoors and my love for our country to converge. I now spend my time speaking to the younger generation of anglers about the opportunities that the Army has afforded me in my military and fishing career.
